Dean Ryan Consultants & Designers, Inc. (Dean Ryan) teamed with Cape Environmental Management Company to provide mechanical engineering services during an underground fuel storage tank removal and fuel oil piping modification project for the General Services Administration (GSA). Dean Ryan conducted a field inspection to evaluate existing fuel piping systems within the U.S. Appraisers facility, located in San Francisco, California. We evaluated design considerations for removal, replacements, and modifications; obtained equipment specifications and field measurements for calculations, drawings, and cost estimates. Dean Ryan professionals prepared contract specification sections for removal, replacement, and modifications of fuel piping system following MASTERSPEC (AIA) format.

Dean Ryan also provided scaled drawings, plans, elevations, and sections for production of working drawings. CADD drawings included equipment room floor plan for piping demolition, schematics of existing and new piping systems, and details as necessary to describe design intent. In addition, Dean Ryan provided a construction cost estimate for fuel oil piping work using UNIFORMAT system describing costs for labor, materials, and equipment for each trade.
