Details As prime consultant, Dean Ryan is tasked to review the City of La Mirada Storm Water Flooding study (dated March 2008), including the feasibility level hydrology and hydraulic technical planning appendix, to determine the un-met 25-year project discharge magnitude for all 10 project sites. Based on field conditions, Dean Ryan will determine the viability of designing a conceptual 25-year flood control storm drain plan. The determining factor will be to analyze the capacity of the receiving disposal point based on the watershed evaluation of the drainage facilities. Dean Ryan will review the existing utility pipeline profiles to determine a practical bypass for the feasibility level, storm drainage system at each of the 10 sites. We will perform a feasibility level hydraulics grade analyses to show that the downstream end of the project can receive the additional flow moving through the proposed storm drains to the terminus point. Dean Ryan will provide feasibility level design data for the storm drainage pipes to help reduce the local flooding at each of the 10 flooding sites. The feasibility level design will include a conceptual plan and profile plates with starting and ending profile data, and as much as possible, the location of other utilities located in the vicinity of the proposed project pipeline, for each of the 10 sites. We will determine if there is a unique and innovative solution that can be constructed under the constraints of the existing flow gradient or real estate limitations, and provide that conceptual solution for any of the 10 sites to help solve the flooding conditions, at a feasibility level detail, at any or all of the 10 sites.
